Life as a photographer started with me about 7 years ago when I took a photo class in high school. Before then I was very fasinated with photos- (I was the one who always looked at the Pictures instead of the text as a kid) My mind was open to and amazed by the beauty the photograph has to offer. Over these seven years my subjects and techiniques have changed. The big turning point in My life was when I took a workshop in Maine with Brenda Tharp called Capturing Summer Light, in August of 2005. Currently I am looking to get my College Degree and possibly teach students what I know about the art of photography. I am also a member of a Photography Club in Fairfield Co. in Connecticut. Look for Me photographing in Maine in the Summer and Connecticut (Where I Live) and New York State. Thanks for taking interest in my Work. Chris (www.wisker.com)

Bio

Christopher Wisker started photography in High School five years ago and his skill with computers inspired him to take on digital photography. He was inspired by the amount of flexibity and creativity digital has to offer. He is currently pursueing a art degree in photography. Over the last year he has been trying to persue landscapes and scenics in his work. He reciently spent a month in Maine buliding a portfolio and expanding his skills and attending The Maine Photographic Workshops for a weeklong workshop "Capturing Summer Light".

Over the last few years of my life I learned how life can be so beautiful so purposeful. Photography has given me a taste of the real world and has shown me a path toward life and success. I have met new friends that respect me for my skill and craft. I have developed a craft that has made me see the world in a different way. I notice all of life’s physical details now and see things in ordinary things I had never seen before. The photograph has transferred me into somebody that has a greater respect for the earth and our society. It has made me more attached to the places I go now. It makes me learn things I have never learned before like the environment and the history of places. It has made me also learn more about the advancements in technology today. All of this plays as my part of society in this world.

Photography has been a life saver for me. It has shown me more possibilities that would never been possible. I have been able to make more friends giving me the confidence I would have never had otherwise. It has taught me to go after your dreams and don’t choose a career that you don’t like. It also has let me expand my skills in other things as well. One door has opened other doors, like going to college and selling my prints. It has also made me see the world in a different way. In a normal scene I am able to find things that stand out. I am more eager to go outside and take photos now when before I would always stay inside. Nature has given me a better respect for the world. Inspiration has kept me going and will help me continue to get better in the future. (perhaps expand on the natural beauty that you see)
