I graduated from VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) in Richmond, VA with a BFA in Communications Arts and Design and a minor in Photography. I studied Black and White photography for 6 years and developed my own work for 12 years. I have made darkrooms out of almost every room in a house you can think of, including the bathroom.
I am a graphic designer and illustrator by trade and have never presued my photography as a source of income. I only took up digital photography this year and now Photoshop is my darkroom. I invested in a digital camera to shoot resource material for my illustration work, but photography is taking over my life again as it once did long ago. I love to explore reflections and shadows combined with the subject I am shooting; which I believe is reflected in my photos.
The main purpose of my joining BetterPhoto.com is to receive valid critical reviews of my work so that I can improve and grow as a photographer.
