Bio

I have always been fascinated with nature and wildlife photography. I also love beautiful sunsets and sunrises. My great-uncle was a great mentor and a avid camera buff. As a small child, he taught me the appreciation and beauty of life through the camera lens. My first camera was a gift from my uncle. I knew right away that photography would be something I would enjoy immensely. I took photos of anything and everything with my little "Brownie" box camera (black and whites of course). Photography has come a long way since then and so have I. For years, I was a traditional 35mm photographer until I bought my first digital in 1999. Since then, I have experimented and upgraded several times and I am now totally digital.

My portfolio here spans mostly the last 8 years. Many of my photos were captured near my home here in Florida, some in the mountains of North and South Carolina. Some of my work includes images taken out west near Yellowstone where my husband and I currently reside. A small piece of my heart and passion has always resided there with Mother Nature. My husband and I recently relocated there to advance his western art career and so I can spend hours soaking in and capturing the extraordinary wildlife and scenery. I hope you enjoy this small sampling of my work. Examples of work for my clients and friends can be viewed at: http://www.photo.net/photodb/user?user_id=865003. Please visit my website at http://southerncharmbyleigh.tripod.com and watch for new images soon. I would also love it if you signed my guest while there.
