Bio

I call myself a "garden photographer." You will find many florals in my portfolio and images of children playing outdoors. My imagery demonstrates a love for nature and a celebration of the joys of life.

In my early thirties I suffered from infertility before being diagnosed with Celiac Disease (an autoimmune disorder that makes one intolerant to the gluten found in wheat, rye, and barley.) I spent the next couple of years growing accustomed to a new lifestyle. I think that my journey to wellness and happiness has found expression in my art. I have been a gardener all of my life, but now the symbolism connecting my flowers, ideas of the feminine and fertility are especially poignant in my mind.

I love to photograph children (especially my daughter) and the flowers that are so meaningful to my journey.

Please see my web site at www.melissamannonphotography.com to learn more about what I do or to purchase one of my fine art photographs.
