I am currently in the process of going full time with my photography career. I hope that if you like what you see here you will contact me. I live in Tucson AZ and can do any type photography you might be in need of. I also sell prints and other things with my images on them. Photography is my passion. When I am photographing especially in nature I hardly notice any adverse conditions. I enjoy all types of photography including portraiture, weddings and events. When I do portraits I prefer to do what I call "Natural Portraiture" outdoors preferably but can also be done indoors. If you are interested in any type of photography please use the contact form here to send me a message regarding what your needs are. I have had a camera of some kind in my hands since I was at least 8 years old. I have always loved recording the beauty in the world around me. Of special interest to me have been those details most overlooked by the majority of people. My first camera was an old brownie box camera, handed down to me,from my grandmother, which I used as frequently as I could afford to--or rather, my mother could afford. I had one or two other small cameras after that one for a short time. When I was 13, after much begging and pleading I received my first 35mm SLR for Christmas, it was a Practika LB2 it was a fully manual, very sturdily made, German camera, which I used for the next 25 or so years. I taught myself to use the camera. I read the instructions over that Christmas morning and was taking pictures by that afternoon. I continued to learn more about using it and loved it. I spent many dollars on accessories over the years. When the camera finally bit the dust, a few years ago, I decided to get into the "new" electronic age :) and bought a Pentax ZX30 in 2001. It is very a nice camera also, yet not nearly as sturdy and indestructible as the Practika, but it does have other positive attributes. I have been lucky to be able to travel to and lived in several states and a few countries. I have enjoyed taking photos of the beauty of nature, all over the country. I do not really have a favorite place to take photos, I can always find something beautiful. In December of 2004, I started researching the advances in digital cameras. I had thought I would never get involved in digital photography but with the prices of film developing, the rate I take photographs and the advances in digital, I decided to give it a try. The camera that I found at the time to have the best quality for the amount of money I was willing to spend, since I was still a bit skeptical about the whole digital thing :)--was, surprisingly--to me--the Kodak DX6490. It is a cute little "bridge" camera, that looks like a miniature little DSLR and it packs a pretty powerful punch for relatively few bucks. I was so impressed with it that I barely used my Pentax 35mm after I bought the digital camera. It had a few drawbacks so after I had been "digital" for a little less than a year I decided, I needed to get a “real” camera. In April 2005, I finally got the bucks up to invest in a digital SLR; as usual (for me) I researched it for several months before I finally took the plunge! :) The one that I decided seemed like the best deal was the Nikon D50. I also wanted to be able to use the many SD cards I have accumulated with my Kodak so the D50 fits that bill too. I LOVED this camera!!! It is more like my 35mm cameras, only better! Moreover, I could do so much more with this camera than with the Kodak--even though you can adjust some settings on the Kodak, the Nikon does all of the things that I could not do with the Kodak. A few years ago my camera was crushed, accidentally under the car! I had to buy another one immediately and I found what I thought was a good deal on a Nikon D100, but not long after it died. Now I have a Nikon D70 that I love and have been enjoying using.
