"The average dairy farmer gets up at dawn because he has to go to work in the cow yard. I get up at dawn too. But it is because I want to find some leaf, hung with dew; or a spider web which the dew has made into the most delicate ropes of pearls...I take my camera with me, get down on my knees in the wet grass, and photograph these exquisite bits of nature." -- W.A. "Snowflake" Bentley

Although there are a variety of shots in this gallery you will quickly notice I enjoy capturing a glimpse of nature...especially the intimate details which allow us to see the beauty of God's creation.

Best regards...

Bio

Although I have previously used an SLR (20+ years ago), I have only been shooting seriously since I picked up my Nikon D70 in April of 2005. As a result, I have truly enjoyed reconnecting with photography and the joy of attempting to capture the beauty which God has placed around us.

As you will see, I tend to prefer nature and landscape photography but will seek to capture almost anything which allows a glimpse into the details around us. Living in Northern California, with close proximity to both the San Francisco Bay Area and to the Lake Tahoe Basin, I am blessed to have access to some of the most scenic spots in my state.

Hopefully, I will capture shots that are pleasing to the eye and which cause you to appreciate the things that are around us.

Best Regards -- Bishop
