Everyday, I see ordinary things and events in a way I have never seen them before. I am never tempted to shoot these scenes and events at 50mm or wider. Every scene has within it a dramatic essence that powerfully symbolizes the whole. The extraordinary exists everywhere; I attempt to see the exceptional in the scene and capture it so that others may see it as well. My contribution is an ability to recognize the fragment that will symbolize the whole; I fantasize a scene which summarizes my mood or emotion as I pass through a place and then find that scene and shoot it.
My specialties include reflections and windows, travel (US, China, Japan, Western Europe) plants (flowers, leaves, palms, water lilies, trees), people/children, landscapes/seascapes/aerial, mist, and detail/texture including architecture and religious buildings.
I shoot film with a Nikon F5 and Nikkor lenses: 80-200mm and VR 80-400mm.
I am available to stock agencies, galleries and for assignment.

I have been shooting photographs since 1962 and only in 2005 have I started sorting my 35,000 images and entering the field as a professional. My interests are many but my "eye" started focusing on the semi-abstract/semi-literal view that summarizes the whole in the mid-1970's. My main focus is on Earth Reflections and Earth Detail.
My contribution is an ability to recognize the fragment that will symbolize the whole; I research and then fantasize a place before I visit it.
My special interests include nature and earth reflections and details including plants (flowers, leaves, palms, water lilies, reeds, trees),landscapes/seascapes/aerial, shore, mist, animals and clouds; water and windows, travel (US, China, Japan, Western Europe) , people/children, and detail/texture including architecture and religious buildings.
I shoot digitally with a Nikon D200 and Nikkor lenses: VR 35-120mm and VR 70-200mm.
I am available to stock agencies, galleries and for assignment.
