Number eight in my cityscape series! Looking towards Sydney city across Cockle Bay, and, an old Sydney ferry - the South Steyne (now a floating restaurant), from Darling Harbour... Some adjustments made using PS CS - Brightness & Contrast, Saturation & Lightness, Unsharp Mask, & Borders... Taken mid-evening - 1/2 sec @ f2.8, ISO 94, & 38mm digital focal length...

Ermanno and John, thank you VERY much for your great comments!! I'm SO glad you enjoyed this image of mine!! :o)I thought it turned out pretty well, seeing as it was taken hand-held from Pyrmont Bridge at nearly 1/4 to 8 in the evening!! ;o)
Phil and I were in Sydney for a photo expo., in May last year ('Downunder' late autumn), so it had already been dark for nearly three hours by the time I took this shot!! ;o)
I like trying to capture hand-held night shots [with varying degrees of success, I might add!! ;o) ], so I was happy that this image turned out as well as it did!! ;o)
So glad that this photograph brings back such (hopefully!) happy memories for you John!! Thanks once again to both you and Ermanno, for looking and commenting!! :o) #1545438

Wonderful capture Carolyn ~ love the lights and reflections... you must have a steady hand to shoot night shots without a tripod!Carolyn J. Connolly July 03, 2005
Thanks SO much for your kind feedback, Susie!! :o)Thankfully, I do have quite a steady hand, but I make sure I take a few of each night shot I take, just to try and get at least one that it is pretty sharp!! ;o)
Thanks again, Susie, and best regards to you too!! :o) #1551346
