Very nice composition, Carolyn!! I'm sure it was not easy to decide what to include in your shot with so many things in front of you!!

Thanks Jordi - glad you like this one!! :o)

You're right - in that there IS always SO much to see, AND, SO much going on in this vibrant part of Sydney, that when I took this image it WAS hard in some ways to decide how to compose it!! I took many shots that day, whilst visiting Sydney, just trying to capture as much as I could!! ;o)

Thank you again, Jordi!! :o) #1529299

Leanne, Mata, SJ, Kerby, Stephanie, and Agnes - thanks EVER so much for all your wonderful comments!! SO glad you all like this one!! I will try and have a look at all your galleries shortly!! :o)

Mata - yes, my husband Phil and I do live 'Downunder'!! We are blessed that our residence overlooks beautiful Lake Macquarie, which is on the eastern seaboard of Australia... We are about a 1/2 hour drive south of the city of Newcastle, in the state of New South Wales (NSW)... We are not TOO far north of Sydney, either - only about a 1 1/2 hour drive!! :o)

You many be interested to read a little about Lake Macquarie - one of the largest (if not the largest!) coastal saltwater lakes in the Southern Hemisphere:

Beautiful, Carolyn!! Love your cityscapes! Fantastic view and colors!! #1529933

Carolyn J. Connolly June 28, 2005

Thank you, Jenny - I'm pleased you're enjoying my series of cityscape images!! I think harbour cities can be VERY interesting to photograph - seeing as they have that added dimension of WATER!! :o)

Hope you get a chance to have a look at at least SOME of the above webpages about Lake Macquarie (which is also the name of our city area!) - as it is our (thankfully!) much less urban home city location!! We actually have four times the amount of water in our Lake, as there is in Sydney Harbour, and, there is approximately 170km of Lake foreshore!! :o)

Thanks again, and have a great day!! :o) #1530010
