Thompson Pass Playday
Uploaded: April 06, 2003
Hundreds of people from all over the state came to the Annual Mountain Man Hill Climb. I went up to help with the race but had to take a couple panoramas first. I left it big because its most impressive when you have to pan as if you were turning your head.

This is an incredibly sharp and seamless panorama. To say the very least, I am startled by the majesty of this photograph.RJ #29434

Yes Awsome. #78059Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019
Thank you everyone! As you can see, its an incredible place to play on a snowmachine, snow board or skis. A lot of snowboarders get pulled up the mountain by snow machiners. Makes for a wild ride up as well as down and the price is right for the lift! I'm posting one more big one that is similar but from another location and has people and machines in it. #78137Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
Wonderful panorama, Gary! I'm behind on seeing and responding to pics--as you can see. #80999Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019

As I commented back in April, I still find this photo stunning and although all your photos are inspiring, this still remains my favourite.RJ #203471

Thanks again, Rick! Seeing your comment on this photo made me think about taking a pan from the same place right now to compare the difference between autumn and winter. It would be much more difficult, as I can't just ride the snowmachine up to that spot right now. I'd have to hike up there instead. Just the same, if the weather cooperates I'll do it this weekend. #204155Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
