Approaching The Nest

Uploaded: March 11, 2010

Description

Archie puts the brakes on as he approaches the nest on one of his food runs. They were very active yesterday stocking up on food as storms are in the forcast for the next two days here in Orlando.Seems to me they can predict the weather to a certain extent and "Git Er Done" before it hits. The menu consisted of fish, squirrel and a nice snake{that I missed!}. Captured at F/8,1/2000,Iso500,400mm.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 5/10000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 640, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 400.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90

My goodness, the shots get better and better! I never thought about how weather would affect feeding of young birds but even our little song birds have a tough time in spring downpours. #8447570
