Winter Wonderland

Uploaded: March 01, 2010

Description

Glade Creek Grist Mill, Babcock State Park in Clifftop, WV. January 22,2010. After a large snowfall, as I slowly descended the long winding road to the mill I realized that I may not be able to get back out. Luckily, a Fire Chief from New York with a higher lift on his truck was there to help pull me out if I got stuck on the incline out of the park. 24-105mm at 47mm, Manual, f/22 at ISO 100, 1/3 of a second. 0.8 Neutral Density filter to lengthen the shutter speed so the falling snow would not show. Good luck, Mike!

Exif: F Number: 22, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 3/10 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, FocalLength: 47.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 50D

Great work and thanks for sharing your settings and knowledge, Amanda. I would think that Babcock would have a dedicated ranger to help assure your safe passage to anywhere within the park at anytime. This is another amazing stunner you've captured of this wonderfully photogenic setting. Love your stories of the capture, too. #8427339

Beautiful capture!!! Glad you were able to get out, some of the predicaments photographers put themselves into "to get the shot". #9521063
