A Way Through The Clouds

Description

70-300mm AF lens at 190mm, 1.4x teleconverter, 1/4000 second at f/6.3, ISO 400, aperture priority, manual focus.

I was practicing with a new tripod, going for images of birds in flight. Two ducks flew by, but instead of following the river in front of me, they turned left and went over the tree tops on the opposite bank. This is a crop of one of the images I captured. Mother Nature (and a touch of a polarizing filter effect in Photoshop) helped out with the sky on this one. Mill River, Long Island, NY.
