St. Kevin's Kitchen - Glendalough

Uploaded: February 03, 2010

Description

2/3 T&P
These 11th century stone structures are located in southeastern Ireland along the Wicklow Mountains. St. Kevin was a 5th-6th century royal who gave up his life of privilege to live as a hermit in a cave at Glendalough. Later, he founded a monastery at this location. Legend has it that he lived to be 120 years old - not bad for a guy born in Ireland in the year 498!
