ALONG THE WAY

Description

Every day as I ride to work I pass a small business along the way whose back fence is a home for hollyhocks and trumpet vines. The other morning I just had to leave for work early to capture their beauty.

"As for marigolds, poppies, hollyhocks, and valorous sunflowers, we shall never have a garden without them, both for their own sake, and for the sake of old-fashioned folks, who used to love them." ~Henry Ward Beecher, from a Star Papers--A Discourse of Flowers
