Joan, I love this. The colors and details are great and your title is perfect. #1228105

Awesome Joan....I really love it! The colors are fantastic...BOLD! Now you need to put something on the specialties board.....maybe something funny like pickled pigs feet? :~) #8304572

Really cool Joan! The bench is a bit distracting, but not enough that I'd worry about it.

I agree with Aimee, this is a great opportunity to create your own specials! #8304576

I thought about it... but because of the perspective, thought it would be a bit of a pain! I actually kinda liked the empty palette!

This is where we went to lunch today. It is way out in the middle of the desert with nothing much else around for miles. They do great food. It's a bar/restaurant in a ranch environment, and this fellow graces the porch at the entrance. #8304628

what a fun picture Joan hope you got something good to eat, since he's not selling anything special. I agree the bench is a little distracting I am wondering if you blur it some that might help. great catch #8308591

Anthony L. Mancuso January 18, 2010

Great colors and comp..might be fun to add some kind of wacky specials to the board yourself..I agree that the bench is a bit of a distraction, if you blur it you'll have to blur the entire bg, maybe just darkening it a little will do.. #8309543

Joan this is very cool capture and I love the treatment you've given it. The result is optimum and works perfectly for a shot like this. Very well done! #8312031

Jodi M. Walsh January 19, 2010

what a funny character! he has the kind of face that would have given me nightmares as a child, though. I love the color and treatment in this. great catch! #8312337

Teresa H. Hunt January 19, 2010

Jodi, I thought his face was kinda freaky too. :)

Joan, this is a great shot, full of character and humor. I really like the colors and texture of the shot. Didn't even really notice the bench. :) #8312439

Joan I think you nailed this shot - great color, comp, and title. He really has a 3 dimensional feel. I don't find the BG overly distracting and it put the subject in a natural setting. I think with the clean lines and the rest of the BG the bench would be easy to clone out if you wanted, but I think it is your call. #8312450

Great shot, clarity, POV and color. Like a lot! #8314450

Peter W. Marks January 22, 2010

Hey Joan, I like this, it's fun and very nicely shot.
Don't remove the bench. Although it's a Home Depot type garden seat it doesn't exactly suggest "Restaurant" but does give us some sense of place. If it were possible, another viewpoint showing a door with an 'open sign' or similar would complete the image. #8322209

Joan E. Hoffman January 22, 2010

LOL... Jodi and Teresa... he kinda reminds me of the clown in Stephen Kings novels in the township of Derry.... an over-jovial face, with wicked intent behind it! I decided to A... not remove the bench... to me it was part of the charm... and be, not to put specialties on the board... I liked my title LOL. Thanks all... this was the only sucessful shot that day... everything else was very forgettable! #8322723
