Marshall Fredericks' 1958 sculpture located at the intersection of Woodward and Jefferson Avenues. The sculpture was left unnamed, but included the verse from 2 Corinthians "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." From this verse, the sculpture became known locally as "The Spirit of Detroit".
