Where we used to walk!

Uploaded: January 02, 2010

Description

~Digital Darkroom~
Lighroom, Painter, Photoshop CS4, smudge brush and lots of layer masks.

First image for the New Year is a photo of our late Teena taken four years ago at Terrigal Beach and the other near the Skillion last week. I thought it would be lovely to combine the two.

I mentioned to Graham it looks like two people in the picture, he said it was Teena's nose! LOL to me it looks like a couple with an arm around each other! Thank you for looking and have a great day. Graham and ~Pat

"Sailing" sung by Declan Galbrieth.

It is only now I can work on Teena's portrait without feeling so sad after her death.

Looking at the image I can remember the good times we had, this is one of them, our stomping ground as it were! ~Pat and Graham

The photo reminds me of the 'Rainbow Bridge'...where pets go to wait 'till our arrival, Pat and Graham.

I still think of our first lab, Thor (who was euthanized October, 1999 and of course...of Draco who is done 2 1/2 years)

Thanks, Pat, the fire has been contained. #8271031

Graham Robards January 05, 2010

Oh thank goodness Barbara for letting us know. Graham was quite disturbed when he heard it on the news!

So glad the fire has been contained, I was hoping it wouldn't spread into the fires like we had last year!!!

I believe it is You and Graham enjoying another walk with your beloved Teena

This is Lovely Pat
A wonderful tribute to Teena #8272570

Graham Robards January 05, 2010

Oh Melodie, you are the only person apart from myself who can see the couple.

I believe as you do it is Graham and myself enjoying another walk with Teena.

And he said it was her nose Lol. How romantic is that!

Thank you so much for your kind words my friend and observing what I saw.

It was on my 'to do' list to delete the remark I had made thinking I was quite mad... but I forgot!

Mary K. Robison January 06, 2010

This is so beautifully done, Pat. Sentimental in the best sense!
And, yes, it's your sweet Teena's nose, as seen by a practical man. But it is also a romantic couple, snuggled up to each other. It's all in your point of view.
I read this quote recently:
"Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened."
(Author Unknown)
We know it's true, don't we?
#8273744

Graham Robards January 06, 2010

Yes we do Mary (smile).

Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement and knowing you looked further than Teena's nose seeing what Melodie and I saw.

Wonderful quote you write, it is so very true!

So sweet and beautiful, Pat! I do see the shapes in her nose that looks like a couple, very cool! Glad you were able to do this. Time does heal but we never forget. My Willie died about 6 years ago and I still get a teary eye now and then when I think of him :) hugs,
