Poor little thing...but it is a great capture #28235

I feel sorry for the poor little bird, too. This is an absolutely amazing capture, though--strange, even eerie, but totally compelling. Excellent composition and colours, too, Donna. Great work, and a sure winner in my book. #73738

Thank you everyone so much for your comments. This little guy really stole my heart! I also realized I uploaded the wrong image so here's the right one. I think this one is a little better! Thanks again for taking the time to view and comment! It is very much appreciated!!! #74458

Donna, the second version of your picture is excellent, but I think I still prefer the first one. In the first one, we see less of the hand, and I like that, because it gives a kind of sense of mystery to the image. In the 2nd version, it's very clear exactly how the little guy is being fed, and for me, that slightly lessens the impact of the photo. This is just my personal feeling, of course--and both versions of the picture are superb. #74484

Thank you for taking a second look Gerda! You really brought up a point of view that I hadn't thought about. My train of thought was that the hand showed the relationship between man and nature and should be seen. I really liked the way you saw it with the mystery element! That's what is so great about other people seeing our work and opening our eyes. It's so nice we have sites like BetterPhoto that enable us to learn. Thank you again for your insight! I really appreciate it and especially for making me look at my own work in a different way! :-) #74491
