I'd say it was a little close. What type of lense did you use? This really is an awesome capture. I wish I had the opportunity to see this in person! - G #27644

Hi Gunther. The whole experience in Timbavati was awesome - the guide and I got out of the vehicle so that I could get a shot head-on. Needless to say, this fellow had eaten his fill and didn't appear to be worried. He and another young male had taken down a calving water buffalo after killing 2 young lion cubs from a female pride. Not a pretty sight but life 'as it is' on the African veld. I used a teleconverter lens on my Olympus. #71683
