Great shot Johnna! Fantastic capture of this beautiful bird. You do spoil your birds. Have never heard of a water mister. #258024Johnna Duke June 04, 2005
Kate,Glad you enjoyed the photo, I sure enjoyed the show :-).
You can purchase water misters at bird specialty stores or even places like Home Depot or Lowes. Living in Florida, a mister is much appreciated by the birds on these hot summer days. Many people don't realize it but even hummingbirds are very attracted to misters. In general, if you want birds on your property, water is a major attractant and they love mister's. You can even buy a less expensive one and clip it on a tree and they will love it! #1430174

Looks like you need power to it Johnna. I don't think my husband would get around to laying that on. But it would be a nice idea and if I could find one here in England I would probably be the only person with one!! #1432825Johnna Duke June 05, 2005
Kate,No power needed at all, that's the great thing about it. It comes with 50 foot of tubing and a double hose attachment and at the end of the tubing it looks like the end of a water hose and you hook it up to one side of the double hose mount and then hook your hose up to the other side and it has a lever at the top of each side so you can turn the water on and off or leave it off on the hose if you just want the mister to run or visa versa. Hope this makes sense. You could probably find one on ebay or online. #1432975
