Aveiro.
Uploaded: November 04, 2009
Aveiro is a Regional capital city in the northwest of Portugal. With nearly 100 000 inhabitants, Aveiro has singular merits that worth a weekend visit. This small Portuguese Venice is rich in Art Nouveau architecture where many buildings are covered with intresting tiles, very usual to Portuguese tradition. Moliceiros, are the boats used to collect algea to fertilize the fields, converted now in colourfull touristic transports to cross the city canals and the salt marines that made the progress of Aveiro in the XIX century.
