Description

1/1250, f5.6, ISO 400, 70-200+1.4 @ 280mm. Ride for Dad, Ottawa, May 28, 2005. A fundraiser for prostrate cancer. I went to the start, and also got out at one spot along the route but could not get enthusiastic about this ride at the first two locations. Must have been too early on Saturday - or not enough caffeine. Here I am stuck in the car near my third planned stop, as they are going by slowly in the next lane. I decided to shoot out of my window, and to try out the AI-Servo mode on my camera. New to me to be using it, but a good opportunity to practice, as there were lots of bikes. Picked the focus up about 20-30 feet down the road, and photographed as they came parallel. Still amazed that it works! (And with lots of practice it will work more often.)
