i like the effect of the warming filter. it gives it an unreal look, like a painting. I think it would have been better though if you put the sky in a separate layer and didn't warm it. maybe even polorize filter the sky so that you keep the blues. actually not sure how that would look. maybe it would take away from the overall effect.
just a thought.

Amanda, can I ask do you like this? if so why? do you think that maybe the image is just too warm? what if yo did as Aaron suggested, what improvment would that make, what about b&w and play with these greys? Your doing good, keep it up

Thanks for the feedback :) Yes the sky does look unatural...but for some reason I do like it b/c of the feel that it portrays. I do a have a few different versions of this image though. I'll post them up. #1403293

the one I like the best is the sepia- toned one except for the sky that should not be toned like this. By just restoring the original sky not too saturated (since all the other parts are soft-colored) this photo would be a winner. :-) #1406676

Thanks Suzanne and Stan :) I will work on adjusting the sky in the sepia one and see what I can come up with! I appreciate all the help and comments!!! #1407804

Hey Amanda, Your gallery is really coming along. I like these. The color ones appeal most to me... especially the saturated one because it contains both straightforward and calming color combinations. When I saw it, I thought "yeah! now for that, I would dodge traffic." Didn't even miss the sky.

have fun,
pam
