Color Mixing By Wire

Description

f/5.6 - 1/200 sec - iso 200 - Tripod - 70-300mm@300mm

Many tricks to make this image - Mostly on the camera.
First I shot object underexposed to overexpose the background.
Object and camera in shade - background was in bright sun - A small white building with trees.
This plus wide aperture removed details from the background and made it nearly white.
I adjusted the raw image's exposure to properly expose the glass and completely whiten the background.
When I took the shot I focused on the glass to capture the background in the marbles and to allow outer rings to have a soft focus glow that shimmers with the radiant light colors from the glass.
I then flipped to make the background in marbles right side up - bumped saturation to make color play on rings stand out.
I love the way the colors mix on the copper wire - And the background trapped in the glass.
p.s. This was the end of a wind chime and it was moving. :)
