The Storm is a Comin'

Just outside of Lusk Wyoming. Lusk, known as the gateway to the famed Black Hills of South Dakota. Lusk is also the least populated City, in the least populated County, in the least populated State. Wow that's a mouthful. State 4 on my 15 State trip.

It's very cool how each version has it's own special mood to it... I personally love the color version's soft clouds along the horizon, and yet I love the feeling of the rain piece too... fantastic! #8046432Chuck S. Frizzell October 17, 2009

Ya, I can't decide. Thanks for the comment. #8054619Nikki McDonald November 08, 2009
Like everyone else, I like both. It's the color version in your gallery that invited me to look more closely but I am a huge fan of black and white and I do love that the light around the farmstead is even more prominent in that version. Oh well, it's always nice to have a second version you can submit down the road :) #8113539Chuck S. Frizzell November 08, 2009
Thank you for the comment Nikki, I agree. #8113764Kate Jackson November 09, 2009
I love the colour version. Definitely think the bw works best with rain! I am so envious of you doing a 15 state trip. Love this one of South Dakota. We went on a long drive to South Dakota a couple of years back but I didn't get the opportunity to stop for shots like this. Could only take them through the car window. Brings back great memories! #8115431Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
