...Revisited
Last September a swarm of bees flew into our backyard. They made a hive under the eves of our house. I watched them make the hive, it was very interesting. We called a bee keeper to get advice on how to get them to move to a new location!
This image was captured directly under the beehive. I cropped out many bees for the sake of composition!

Whoa!!! I agree...this looks like too many bees to get this close to, at least for me!!! Terrific shot with lots of detail and great color, Donna!!! Did they ever move to a new location? #8043840Amy M. Wilson October 16, 2009
That's what I want to know too, did they move?Great capture with excellent details but I agree with Melissa, it looks like you were closer than I'd have been - even with a zoom, excellent work, Donna! #8043861

When I first saw this I didn't realize it was yours, Donna. However did you catc that little circle of bees that provides a focal point? And the little ripple to add depth! Great picture! #8044219

Thanks again for all of your great comments. The bees were so busy building their hive that they paid no attention to me. That's how I was able to get close enough to capture this photograph.Donna #8045264
