Description

Subject wanted unusual, sexy but tasteful portraits. She was greatly pleased. Opinions?

hallo michelle,
i understand the idea or one that can be guessed, but obviously it has not been materialized. I assume the girl was meant to be the subject matter, she had deserved it, too. but please open a few stops or take a longer lens for seperating the levels by depth of field. the brushes certainly distract the eye severely.
i propose to try again understanding she is a friend of you. then get closer if you want it to be sexy/fashion or make it more misterious for getting at a sort of flight/escape schene? what do you think?

best regards and always good light!

Sorry Michelle but I don't find this sexy at all. If I can be crudely honest, it looks like she's getting ready to do some business in the woods. #2764

Charlie...Thank you. Yes, you are right, the background is distracting, but in the same thought, it suited her charactor very much. She wasn't a friend, but a customer who approached me on this. She was actually quite nervous as she says shes never done such a thing before. She wanted what she concidered "sexy" (above) but preferred the detachment of distance (the result). Apparently, she is an extreamely outdoorsy person (I don't know the woman other than our appointment and she was much more comfortable in the above setting than I think she would have been anywhere else.

Nick...thank you for your thoughts. Honestly, I do disagree with your own interpretation though.

Thank you both.

Hi Michelle,
Your lady is attractive & photogenic, but I agree with the comments about the confusing background. The dark wrap she is wearing gets a little 'lost' against the darkness of the tree/bushes. Would a misty morning have worked better? Did you think about a sepia tone? I was wondering if a better, more romantic type background might be a venetian style window?
Good try though!
Got any more pics?
