Going Green

Uploaded: September 19, 2009

Description

Looking at my gallery, I seem to have an obsession with green things! Maybe I should shoot a bowl of green M&Ms next...

Thought little guy hung around just long enough for me to get one shot.

(Photography is teaching me some great multi-tasking...remove lens cap while gently dropping to one knee while turning on the camera and quickly checking WB & ISO and going straight to aim & shoot!) #7956024

Great colours and detail Tess .. I'm not familiar with this green 'bug' ~ looks like some sort of wasp or worker bee? #7968026

Tess L. Yee September 22, 2009

Thanks for the great comment, Susie! I believe it's a metallic green bee (Genus Agapostemon). If it isn't, well...it COULD be! #7969918

Why not shoot the far side of the hill, Tess?? It's green .. green, they say! This is cute! Where does one find a metallic green bee? #8007661

Tess L. Yee October 05, 2009

Thanks for the great comment, Jim! Apparently, metallic green bees are quite common, although I've only seen a few, myself. #8009519
