Center Stage
Uploaded: March 11, 2003
Alaska Sourdough goes to Texas #4 ...... Stepping even further out of character :-) I stayed for part of the Toby Kieth concert after the rodeo. This was a difficult shot. f2.4, 1/15sec, full zoom (5x) and resting the camera on top of my knee for a tripod.

Another version, with a little less zoom and the rotating stage at a different angle. Shows more of the stadium and has a little more atmosphere maybe. If y'all think its worth entering it seperately tomorrow, please let me know! #26068Lem Metro May 26, 2019
The close up is well done. The knee kept it steady enough. I like the fans in the upper left corner of the frame. It adds to the photo. They are well lit and in clear focus. The second version has floodlights in the background that are interesting. #66645Carolyn M. Fletcher May 26, 2019
Wow, those turned out good!! Really hard to do! #66649Jill Battaglia May 26, 2019
Nicely done, Gary. I'll bet it was a great show! :-) #66664Murry Grigsby May 26, 2019
Where can I get one of those Minish tripods? Nice work, Gary. I think I like number two better because of it's light and colors but they are both good. You really got around. This is the first year for the rodeo in the Texans new stadium. #66715Dolores Neilson May 26, 2019
Wow...a free tripod built in, GAry! I think I prefer the first one. But both are so good! I like them alot! STeady knee, there cowboy! #66836Elizabeth Stiles May 26, 2019
Love the lines and colors of the close up one Gary! Your steady knee will make a good advertising for some magic pills:) #66868Donna J. Eaton May 26, 2019
You certainly have steady knees Gary! Both are really nice shots. You really have great clarity on these! How was the concert? #66952Darren K. Fisher May 26, 2019
Well I love country music, along with your captures they both are very well done. Great job Gary!! #66970Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
These are great, Gary! Love the colors in #1. Is there anything you can't do? #67043Karen Seargeant May 26, 2019
Well, I had to hunt the rest of your Texas shots as I been delinquent here lately. Glad I did. I love the first one, it was an excellant shot. Of course the second does show another perspective. All your shots are great. #67369Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
