Description

Ever have a day like this??

We were out driving and we passed a giant sunflower field, so of course we had to stop and I went trudging down the hill. It was down a narrow gravel road right in the middle of nowhere, but it wasn't long before a man showed up to ask if we were having trouble with the truck! Claude said, "No... my wife is down there taking photographs." The man said, "Well there isn't much to photograph. They're all past their prime and the wild cucumbers took over the entire lot!" He was right - but there were still lots of cool photos to be found (if a little strange!)

I will probably post my favorites in the series here, as well. I wish I'd been there when the flowers were at their peak but I rather like them in their final phases, anyway!

Gorgeous floral Nadya. I love how the curly vines of the cucumber is starting to tie up the sunflower. I think I would have called it "bondage" LOL Excellent comp, light, color and clarity. You just keep posting those florals! #7912354

I really like the composition of this image...and the colors and detail, as always in your photos, are quite excellent. Great find...maybe a couple nights in one of those cabins when the sunflowers are in their prime might be in order...??? #7912384
