Faded Glory
Uploaded: August 29, 2009
Once upon a time I'm sure this vintage barn was red! Well, a part of it still is... and as you can see, it's still in use. In my area (northwest Illinois) most of them are.

Neat image Nadya the old glory is surrounded with corn and soybeans. At one time this old barn was surrounded with live stock most likely, they have been replaced with crops. It is wonderful that the old thing is still standing strait and proud. #7897814Tammy M. Anderson August 29, 2009

I bet you are right about this vintage barn being red at one time, Nadya!! This is a stunning shot with terrific light, fine detail, beautiful composition and wonderful enhancing effects!! #7898466Nadya Johnson August 29, 2009
Thanks so much to all for leaving such terrific comments! Once again, I see a great discrepancy in how this looks on my laptop monitor... much dimmer here, than on my better one. I'm sure if I changed it to a brighter mode on here, it would look over-saturated on the other one!! Can't win. LOL! I did take the photo just before a storm broke - the light was strange and rather ominous. #7898933Kaye Burazin August 29, 2009
