Cat with Red Blanket

-- and a mystery!--

This is Mom-Cat, who disappeared shortly after Precious did. We thought she may have slipped into a horse trailer which was parked beside the house and taken off with them. Well, maybe she did. Either way, she returned tonight after being gone a week and like her kitten, hasn't told us the story yet!

The good thing is, they're both back at home in fine fettle, probably thinking over their adventures on the ranch! The idea is, to keep them in the house but I get the feeling she's already plotting her next escapade - wherever it was.

WOW! I am so glad they are both home again safely Nadya! I don't like hearing stories like that. So many terrible things happen to kitties!!! I hope she has had enough of the great outdoors and stays as content to be home as she looks in this picture!

Great job, Lady!!! -Laura :) #7806261

Awww, Nadya - what a great portrait of your 'Mom-Cat'!! I'm SO glad to hear that she and 'Precious' eventually returned home safe and sound!! :o)

We had a beautiful (part-Persian?) cat, 'Puss', a few years ago who went missing at one stage for nine (9) days!! We were SO happy when she eventually turned up...her paws looking as though she had walked a L-O-N-G way!! :o/

The story Brett mentioned is quite an interesting one, too!! 'Muffy' did indeed turn up after 9 years...in Melbourne!! She had originally disappeared from Brisbane (1200 miles/1931.21 kilometres away!) in 2000!! ;o/

Thank you so much everybody, for your great supportive comments! I really do appreciate them all! I have to say, this is one of those shots which looks very different on my laptop than my desktop... the whites are brilliant on the desktop, not so brilliant here. Well, I guess you never know what other people see; but hopefully, it looks ok no matter what your monitor is like! #7807815
