Description

Actually, this image has several different components of design. I could have used it for pattern or texture as well, but the dominant element are the many ovals in the frame.
Set-up: Wide open aperture at f/5.0, ISO at 400, an exposure comp. of -0.6.7 and an ISO of 400.

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 1/20 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D

Thank you, Kim. Whenver I see your signature picture, I wish I knew how to take pictures of the moon. We saw an amazing one on the way home from Denver a couple of weekends ago and it was huge and perfectly round and bright orange. I MUST learn to more about night-time photography. #7994565

Thank you Debbie.....I did take that moon pic, it was after alot of bush fires we had where the smoke just hung around a while and made the moon as you see it on my icon pic. You need a zoom lens to take the moon....they are not as hard as you think they are to take.... #7995360

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for making my day with your fabulous responses to my photo. I still haven't actually "seen" it on BP because for some reason I am not getting the daily POTD. I figured out something was up when I woke up, hopped onto the computer and saw "beaucoup" emails for one of my images. What a great surprise to wake up to. BP is the best and in my opinion a POTD trumps a placed winner any day! #8189072

Wow, guys - its' been a LONG time since I have visited this thread and was pleasantly surprised to see all your wonderful comments. Only my second POTD - I was so excited to get this. The Utah State capitol is a treasure trove for photographers, I can tell you that. I want to go back sometime soon. #8329709
