Using a slow shutter speed at the wedding reception, I used the draped strings of light to frame a guest in a blue shirt in the far distance. I think the tiny spot of blue in the splash of rich light against a brown background provides an interesting counterpoint.

Actually, the face over the left shoulder of the man in blue also provides interest as do the "eyes" on the mid-low left within your image DeWaal. I find this image of yours intriguing with more to see than the man in the blue shirt!

Hey Cindy, you've actually discovered more in this photo than I've seen myself! Goodnes, I almost feel ashamed. No, let me rather thank you for opening my eyes. This relates very well to what "Anonymous" has to say in "Thinking Photography" (dewalvis.blogspot.com). Let's see more of your lovely nature shots on BetterPhoto!

Good morning!
There's NO need to feel ashamed at all! Sometimes, I think, when we do our images, we get lost in the bigger picture. What's exciting is when someone picks out details of nuances in the image that you didn't notice. That's a sure fire way of telling if someone is TRULY drinking in your image and providing some thought about it. Your image provoked me to look deeper...for me, that;s a talent in itself. :-) #1485284
