I almost forgot about this one.

Last march, a massive gathering of catholic people took place at the largest football stadium in Mexico City.

Posters showing the face of Jesus, where displayed on lamp posts and walls throughout the country, inviting young people to assist.

I took a picture a few months ago when I noticed there was a collage of signs giving a different meaning to the original posters. It was a blending among a religious sign and a political campaign sign. It wasn’t a good image, but I liked taking the shot.

This time I was visiting a nearby city when I saw the same religious sign along with a reward sign. An ATV had been stolen and they offered $10,000 pesos for any information about the ATV. The piece of tape covering his eyes is a bonus, but I won’t get into interpretations of any kind. That‘s up to the viewer to decide what the image says…or not.

The collage I found that day took me a few decades back, I think it was the seventies, when the face of Jesus appeared printed on T-shirts, posters, etc, and the sign bellow his face read “Wanted”…I think.

The warm tone is deliberated.

Thanks for the messages.

LOL I'm gonna start listening to me more. I saw that poster and I thought "hmmm that looks just like some pictures of what people think Jesus looked like" well that and it looks just like a young man that I see here often who btw (by the way) reminds me of Jesus.

Then I noticed the curled, torn edge over the sa. Its shadow is also very obvious. That's all that distracted me from allowing it to stand as a unified piece.

I love this. It's a great finding (that you were staying alert for).

You know, Anne Lamont (a writer and instructor) has a thing about writing "Every thing that happens to you, good or bad, is just so much fodder for your writing." Then it's up to you to refine it.

And so it is with life and photography. If we just stay aware, it's all there.

have fun
