Great colors here Bobby..what settings did you use to catch this.. #7704222Bobby R. Strange July 04, 2009
Thanks, all! :). For this shot I used a tripod and was at F16 with a 1 second exposure. #7704225Laura E. Swan July 04, 2009
SO GLAD THAT YOU DID, Bobby!!!I wasn't sure WHAT to post for today. I am an AMERICAN living in CANADA so I had to get creative!!! Pulled out some jewelery I inherited when my Mom passed away. :)
I tried to convey the pioneer spirit of AMERICANS in my abstract. I hope I pulled it off? WILLING TO GO ANYWHERE NEW!!! INTO THE UNKNOWN!
Come see if you have a chance!

Love how it fills the frame! I think the purple is what really does it for me, but then again purple is my favorite color! Not too much I can say in the way of a critique for an image like this other than that I don't care for the three dimensional look to the image as a whole. Thats just MHO of course! :~) #7704627Bobby R. Strange July 04, 2009
If you're talking about the beveled edge, get over it! Hehehe. :) Thanks Aimee and Laura :) #7704700Rita K. Connell July 04, 2009
I really like this one. It almost looks like seaoats ( I think that is what they are call along the beaches) on fire. Cool shot #7705237Susan M. Reynolds July 04, 2009
Stunning capture!Ellen H. Robertson July 05, 2009
Bobby, fabulous shot. #7706159Vicki Snow July 05, 2009
Love all the vibrant colors and the full frame....The title is perfect. I like it alot Bobby #7706699Dale Hardin July 05, 2009
Very cool full framed shot Bobby. I like the look of intensity about it. It seems to be growing instead of receding as most fireworks shots seem to portray. #7707222Sharon Lohrmann July 05, 2009
nice job bobby. the colors look great agains the black background. #7707346Jodi M. Walsh July 05, 2009
very cool and after trying to capture fireworks last night, I have new respect for anyone who doesn't end up with white blobs all over the frame :-)so was the F16 shutter the key to not getting all the smoke? #7708462
Bobby R. Strange July 05, 2009
Thanks for all the great comments, all! :) Jodi, the key to no smoke in mine was the wind. I aimed above and away from the direction the smoke was blowing :) #7708471Vicki Snow July 06, 2009
WOW I'm really late...great shot, but I'll be the first to say congrats on the EP!! #7712421Christie R. Bielss July 07, 2009

Awsome shot! I tried shooting fireworks last year . . . shot 2 rolls of film without a good keeper. Very frustrating.Anthony L. Mancuso July 10, 2009
Teresa, what is this "film" stuff you speak of? #7727047Teresa H. Hunt July 10, 2009
It's the 8-track version of a memory card. LOL!!By the way I got my first DLSR a few weeks ago . . . I am having soooo much fun with it. No more film for me. #7727053
Anthony L. Mancuso July 10, 2009
Congrats Teresa, they are so much fun..i actually heard one of the major film manufacturers stopped producing it because so few people use it these days, can't remember which company it was..BTW, congrats on the EP Bobby, sorry about the side conversation here but that tends to happen with the phellos from time to time.. #7727070
