Here I am Sweetie!

Description

Canon 20D, 100-400 f4-5.9L @400mm, f8, 1/250"
mounted on Giotto tripod w/Manfroto ball head. Cable release used

This old cattail is about as near as he wants to get to a real cats tail. Red Wing Black Birds are always skittish and are always on the move seldom staying in one place for more than thirty seconds. This marsh had about 10 of them. They have a lovely trill and an interesting way of attracting the females.

Linda and Michelle,

I am so happy that you enjoy this photo.
Aparently I am having posting problems because I did respond to your remarks yesterday Linda.

I managed to take about 30 pictures and this is the best of the lot. Believe me you don't want to see all of them.LOL

As difficult as it is to capture them the rewards for the effort come when they come out of the printer at 12X18"
And of course I will be back next Spring trying to get an even better photo of them.

I thank both of you for your nice remarks.
