Description

What a familiar saying...
At least around here anyway!!!
And I must say...it holds true for me!! Right now I do feel as though..
It's Time To Get The Heck Outta Dodge!
This kind of intimidating sight
can be seen as you drive into
Dodge City Kansas.
Made of steel that a fabulous artist
created is mounted on a wall of rocks.
It's quite impressive!!!
I have converted this to sepia and used several other filters to create
an old time look.
I would probably want to talk nice to get past these fellas!!! LOL!!!

I must admit...it spent quite a bit of time on this image. I was wanting a much better silhouette of this but I was there at the wrong time of day...I intentioally shot it underexposed to create a later time of day. I then played and played with it until I was pleased with the outcome. I so love sunset silhouette images but could not acheive that here, so I chose another fave of mine which is the conversion to sepia. With the history of the town of Dodge City...(Gunsmoke... etc...LOL..) I felt the sepia filter was the best choice for this shot. I want to also mention that I have made two prints of this image already, so it makes me extra happy to know that you like it as well!!!

Hey, they do it in movies all the time, say, showing people surfing at night (done during the day with the blue filter and underexposure).
