very nice, I like the dof, lighting and composition. not sure about the bottom left as it is distrating me from the new bulb? lovely color. #1126469

Thanks for the suggestion, Dawn. I tried it. I think it made an improvement. Wish I did this before I entered it in the contest. Thanks again. I really appreciate suggestions! #7510786

Mary, The second image is definitely less cluttered. Clarity, lighting and DOF are great. #7510897

Well now, I'm going to be the odd man out. I like the first crop. I like how you got just enough of the yellow flower in there to make an impact. The 2nd crop takes too much of the yellow flower out. I think cloning that bud in the back would've been better. And if you don't get an EP or move on, then re-enter it next month. Absolutely love the lighting on this. Such a beautiful glow. Very nice dof and composition as well. #7511696

well im going to agree with christie, I love the 1st crop, try just cloning out the bottom left and see what happens. the 1st image is more stunning with the other flowers. dont get me wrong though, I like the 2nd one too. Enter them both and see what they like!!! #7511795

I really learned a lot from this. I originally kept the bottom left flower in because I thought it would draw the viewers eye around the image. I could see what Dawn and Jean meant about it being distracting, cluttered. Then, Christie's comment about losing the other yellow flower's impact after re-cropping, got me thinking again. Sooooooo, here is my third try. LOL. I am going to re-enter one of them next month. Thank you all so much for you input. Very much appreciated! #7516003
