What great colors, Gary. It almost looks like a painting. I tried it with a pano crop eliminating all the forground snow and weeds. I really like it that way also--with just sky, mountains, reflection and the bottom rim of the lake. I say again, the colors are wonderful. #56424

Thank you all! Every now and then we get the lavender skies and its my favorite color against the white of the mountains. This one was shot in December.

Murry; I like your idea and hadn't tried cropping this photo so I went back to the original and gave it a try. Tell me what you think and if I should make it a seperate entry. #56864

Gary, I like the pano crop better but I'm sure others will like the original better. I think the crop concentrates on the lavender colors more. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". #56911
