Taken from quite a distance with my new nikon 70-200 vr plus a teleconverter 1.7x. But it was still so far away I had to crop it 100%, sharpen it and swap the head!!

Fabulous Image, Rachel! #7457069Rachel Scott-Renouf April 27, 2009
Thanks everyone!Shelly, I love the teleconverter, you do lose 1 1/2 stops though, so the f2.8 70-200mm lens becomes a 120-340mm F4.8 lens. But that extra reach comes in very handy. The picture quality seems to be fine. I bought the 1.7 teleconverter after reading Ken Rockwells review http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/70200vr.htm#perf
According to his review the 2.0x converter is not as good which is why I bought the 1.7 in the end and I am glad I did..... hope that helps! #7457137
