Twilight SplitRock

Uploaded: March 28, 2009

Description

Waiting on the light to turn on I skipped rocks and shot 5 min exosures at very late twilight of Split Rock at Split Rock State Park, Minnesota
October 1 2008
It never did turn on, I later found out it turns on twice a year only. I took this with my tripod on loose gravel and had no remote shutter release cord, I had to be careful shivering in pitch black to stay steady. Temps dropped to high 50's.

The light and the color are exquisite! Reminds me of my many years living near the Maine coast. Nicely done. #7347669
