Description

I shoot alot of dogshow pictures, mostly of our greyhounds. Usually I use "fast" camera settings to freeze motion (aperature priorty wtih aperature wide open, ISO 800 to 1600). I wanted to show this Dalmation in abstract, as a smear of spots agaisnt a blurred background, so I shot at ISO 100 with full aperature. I panned the camera with the dog to blur the background. I achieved the affect I wanted, and was happy that the dog's face stayed in fairly good focus.
