Mollymook is lovely, Geraldine. Did you capture it with a Graduated Reduced Density Filter on the camera, or in Photoshop? If it was in the field, which holder did you choose and why?
I'm preparing to take a class and have purchased a soft 3 grad 4x6 filter. Some people have suggested that I could have a polarizer on the lens at the same time as the GRD, and while I've seen the results of their images, I'm not certain how to accomplish this. What's your feedback?

Bunny I have purchased the Lee filter system after much research - and at this stage have just the .9 grad. I've never tried the polariser as well - it woudl be difficult to adjust and works best when there is lots of light which there isn't early in th emroning. The pol is meant to reduce glare #7952242Geraldine E. Lefoe September 17, 2009

Thank you, Geraldine. Please share with me why you choose to go with Lee Filtration System. If you would like, you can send an email directly to my mail box, at ssksnow@cox.net.Again, thank you.

Hi Geraldine,Yes. "the polarizer is meant to reduce glare," but it is also meant to increase the saturation of the image.
I purchased the Lee Holder and adapter for my 77mm filter size lenses, and have found that if I place my own polarizer on the Lee adapter, which is on the lens, I can use the 4x6 GRD filter at the same time in the slot furthest from the lens.
Now, all that I need to do is better learn where to meter (which is basic to using the GRD filter) and how to place the GRD filter, which is the most challenging. It's going to take lots of practice and possibly note-taking. But, at least I know now that it can be done.
I think that my major problem now is trying to get more out of a less than spectacular sunset by using the polarizer and GRD filter, while saving the detail in the shadows. The shadow detail is not yet where I desire it to be. Perhaps, my subject matter is the reason.
But, I sincerely am grateful to you for getting me started.
Cheers,
