Excellent shot Jason. Were you in a car that he let you get that close? Or like Mark says, perhaps he just didn't want to give it up to anyone else. #1184225

Thanks Mark and Kate. I actually got a phone call from my father-in-law who said he just watched this hawk attack a duck. He was about 15 minutes away from me , so I rushed to get there in the hopes I would have a chance at these shots. Needless to say,the hawk didn't move and I was able to get within 4 yards of this hawk. I used a 70-200 L IS 2.8 lens and had to shoot at about 150mm for some of the shots. Finally someone walking by ended up scaring the bird into a tree. Luckily, I got about 200 shots before then. If you watch the board, I'll be posting another of this series today. #1185411
