Downy Woodpecker

Description

Usually I like to close-crop my birds because I like the viewer's attention to be completely focused on the subject (the bird). However, the lighting was so beautiful that I wanted to capture the essence of the moment. I hope I did a good job. :)

f/8, 1/500s, Sigma 80-400mm EX @ 400mm, ISO200 in my back yard.

Tonya:

Thank you very much for the compliment. You are very versatile in your photography while I am mostly confined to nature kinds of shots. I hope to broaden my scope, and I think browsing your galleries would be an excellent place to start. :)
