Beautiful. But wouldn't it be even nicer if we saw the trees themselves, too? #50047

Very pretty reflection shot, Morne! #50050

It might be nice to see the trees, but the composition would be quite different. I really like this effect. Zoom in and feature the reflection in the water framed on three sides. I'll take it just as is. Top notch work Morne. #50088

Interesting picture. I especially like the fact that you cannot see the trees. It makes you wonder more. #50146

Since the reflection of the trees is the focal point, I think including the trees would have been a distractment. I like this shot, it's very well executed. JSay :) #50177

Very interesting shot, Morne. The color and lighting enhance the tree reflections. #50303

Many thanks for all the feedback folks. I guess the composition was intentional since I was concerned that showing the trees might make the photo a touch on the 'busy' side. The absence of the actual trees does add a touch of the surreal or unknown to the shot... at the risk of sounding somewhat pretentious. Anyhow, I do have a number of shots with the actual trees and their reflections which I'm likely to post sometime in the future. #52581
