So cute! I just love chickadees! How long did it take you to get him/her to come eat from your hand? I have heard they will but the ones here are always gone from the feeder in seconds. I just can't imagine ever getting any of mine to do this! #7004395Michelle Alton January 09, 2009 0
Absolutely wonderful! Must have taken incredible patience to create this. I'm envious! #7004592

Wonderful! Well-deserved POTD and finalist! When I was a little girl in the 1950s my mother had me hold out my hand open with seeds in it and told me to be patient. We were in the back yard and eventually, sure enough, a chickadee landed on my hand and ate some seeds. This picture brought me instantly back to that happy moment. Thank you! #7245948

I'm also wondering how long it took you to get chickadees to eat out of your hand. I have so many of them at my feeder. #7247536

Thank all of you for your comments and congratulations! This is quite popular mountain district. Long, cold and hungry Siberian winter make birds to look for food everywhere. So many tourists with a lot of nuts - ideal place to forget about fears. Last weekend I've found that even doves became to attack tourist hands. #7252878Eivor Kuchta April 21, 2011 0
I've never been able to get a chickadee to do that. Maybe that's they know they get lots of food from me anyway, in the feeders. Congratulations on both your awards for this excellent capture! #9361401Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
