Us vs. Them

Uploaded: March 11, 2005

Description

Submitted this yesterday but pulled it. I had flipped it, and this made the uniform numbers backwards - Doi! - as my kids would say :) . Sorry about that!! The teams really were evenly numbered, but one coach only had his key players out - it made for an image with some interesting perspective though, I think. Taken with camera on tungsten light, +2 exposure comp, still needed hue sat, brightness, and contrast adjustments in PSE2 to deal with the limited gym light.

Great observation. My guess is that the team with only 5 players on the floor is winning. Really sharp focus and color. The cropping really helps the story. #223864

Great shot, Audrea!! #1164764

Great shot, Audrea. I saw this yesterday and didn't even notice that the #s were reversed. That doesn't say much for my observation skills. #1164811

I didn't notice the numbers reversed either...I guess I was really taken with the composition. This was a very different shot for me to look at. Usually, my eye moves left to right and settles on the subject. But here, I find myself looking left-right-left-right, left-right. Probably reflecting the idiom of sports. Wonderful shot with MORE than greets the eye! #1165514

You have a great sense of intuition Shane - they were! A very tight game though, the blue team (my son's) lost 47-52. Tonight they won by 1 point in the last 7 seconds though - awesome game!!

I didn't notice the #s either Marsha, so don't feel bad!! A keen-eyed, kind-hearted friend let me know via email - I GREATLY appreciated it :).

Very cool observation Noel - and the ball is sitting there in the middle!! You definitely have that natural artistic insight that most folks are always searching for.

Thank you too, Colette and Kathleen - your opinions mean alot to me!! #1165749
